So I haven't posted...all.year. The casualty of being a working mom with a blog is there is no time to blog about it. I took this week off of work and school to be with my family. My life moves so fast there isn't much time left reflect on things. In fact, I'd rather not reflect at all. Partly because I'm aware at how much I fail at things and hate gloating in my successes, but nonetheless I have had the time.
This year was the best and the worst year thus far of my adult life. Really, the last two years I could have lived without. But since I had this time to THINK...I have been thinking about how truly grateful I am for the things I experienced: the good, the bad, the ugly.
I spent the last several months on cruise control just waiting for 2012 to get here so I can have a "fresh start." I stopped working out, I stopped taking time for myself, I stopped my boycott on fast food, I stopped creating things, so today...I STOPPED!
What magical thing was I waiting on tomorrow????? I decided to get off the couch and go running. I started the year out running. I was training for a marathon and with the help of a friend got up to 16 miles. But with another unexpected transition...I stopped running. But today I woke up and remembered something I heard from someone and tweeted it earlier in the week, "It's not about how you start. It's about how you finish."
So today I finished 2011 a runner and felt like I finished 2011 well. I pray the Lord awaken your desires TODAY!
